Obituary of Florence Pearl Williams

Florence Pearl Williams of Saint John passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 27, 2010. Born at Saint John on April 15, 1914. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Thomas V. Williams in 1971. Florence was a lifelong resident of Saint John. She was a member of St. Luke’s Anglican Church, and enjoyed knitting and crochet, along with plants and her flower gardens. Florence also enjoyed being sociable, keeping up with current events, and loved animals, especially dogs and cats. Florence was the loving mother of four daughters, Ann, Mary Lou, Marlene (Richard English) all of Saint John, and Starr of Innisfil, Ontario; four sons Ronald (Garie) of Burlington, Ontario, Thomas (Charmaine) of Dartmouth, NS, Daniel (Beth) of Lower Sackville, NS, and Wayne (Susan) of Saint John; proud grandmother of Jeffrey, Rhea, David, Courtney, Thomas, Kate, Melissa, Jennifer, Kathryn, Amber and Amanda; cherished great-grandmother of Keeley, Evan, Taylor, Sophie, and Landon; and is also survived by loving nephews, William and Michael Tokach. She was predeceased by her only sister, Marion Tokach in 1995. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Sunday, October 31, 2010 from 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Monday, November 1, 2010 at 2:00 PM from St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Main Street, Saint John. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, remembrances to the Animal Rescue League would be appreciated by the family.
