Obituary of Doris R. Cudmore

The death of Doris Ruth Cudmore of Saint John, wife of the late Willard Cudmore, occurred on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born at Saint John on January 7, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Gladys (Donaldson) Hamilton. Doris was employed with the Saint John School Board for many years and a member of Portland United Church. Doris is survived by her brother, Douglas Hamilton (Margaret) of Saint John; nephews, Ian Hamilton of Saint John, Glen Hamilton (Clare) of Brooklyn, NY and Ross Hamilton (Gillian) of Toronto, ON; great-nephews, Spencer and Max Hamilton and sister-in-law, Irene Hamilton. Besides her husband of 56 years, Doris is predeceased by her brother, Lloyd Hamilton and sister, Audrey Gates. In keeping with Doris’ wishes, there will be no visitation. A private funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John 634-7424. Interment to take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Portland United Church, the Alzheimer’s Society of New Brunswick or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
