Obituary of Madalyn Mott

Madalyn L. Mott of Saint John, wife of the late Blake Mott, passed away on Monday, April 12, 2010, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Penobsquis, NB, she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Stella (Fennell) Breen. Madalyn graduated in 1941 from St. Joseph's Hospital as a Registered Nurse working mostly at the DVA Hospital. She received the distinguished services award from the Kidney Foundation for her volunteer work. Madalyn was an avid reader, and had a great love for animals. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, visiting eight countries in Europe, the Bahamas and Hawaian Islands. Madalyn is survived by her children, Brian (Joan) Mott, Nancy Mott, both of Saint John; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Blake; brother, Louis Breen; sisters, Mary Quinlan and Marie Shea. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John, NB, (634-7425) with visiting on Thursday from 2-4, 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 12:00 noon from Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Interment will take place at a later date.
