Obituary of Raymah Elizabeth Leslie

Raymah Leslie was reunited with her husband of 59 years, Melbourne Leslie, on Friday, June 11, 2010. She was born on July 22, 1924 at Campobello Island, NB to the late Cecil and Lucy (Mallock) Henderson. In her early years, Raymah worked for H. W. Welch as a sardine packer on Deer Island. She moved to Saint John in 1960 and then to her home in Brown's Flat. Raymah was a member of the Brown's Flat Baptist Church and the Church Choir. She is survived by two sons: Wayne (Marsha) of Central Greenwich and Albion (Barbara) of Grand Manan, NB; two daughters: Karen Fox (David) of Grand Bay - Westfield and Julie Wallace (John) of Stoney Plain, AB; three sisters: Beryl Pike, Faye Lambert and Dorothy Pendleton; two brothers: Milford and Teddy Henderson; 11 grandchildren: Ricky, Blair (Beth), Al, Kyle (Lynn), Aaron, Jeff, Jamie (Tom), Trevor, Jolie (Tyler), Christa (Matthew) and Kimberly; 11 great grandchildren: Nicholas, Kirkland, Dana, MacKenzie, Raina, Aubrey, Martine, Grace, Charlotte, Titus and Olivia and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Raymah was predeceased by three brothers: Eugene, Paul and Albion. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (634-7425) with visiting on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7- 9 PM. The funeral service will be held from Brown's Flat Baptist Church on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at 2 PM. Interment will take place in Brown's Flat Baptist Cemetery. For those who wish remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
