Obituary of Rheal Joseph Guerrette

Rheal Joseph Guerrette, of Saint John, passed away June 22, 2010, peacefully at home surrounded by his family after a long battle with his heart and cancer. Born in Edmundston, New Brunswick he was a son of the late Amedee and Leontine (Berube) Guerrette. Rheal was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council, and served as a Past Grand Knight, and a Past Navigator of the Assembly 1940. He worked as a production equipment mechanic for Baxter Food Company, Saint John. Surviving are his wife, Patsy (Bastarache); son, Michael; daughter, Tanya (Corey) all of Saint John; brothers, Roger, (Roseamie), Ste. Anne; Hermel (Charlotte), Moncton; Laurier (Barbara), Grand Falls; Jean-Paul, Ste. Anne; Gabriel (Diane), Ste. Anne; Gaetan (Micheline), Ste. Anne; special brothers, Leo (Mathilda), Ste Anne; Edmond (Jeannette), Grand Falls; sisters, Gisele (Pat), Fredericton; Linda (Aftab), Ottawa; Marielle (Paulo), Ste. Anne; special sisters, Edwina, Grand Falls; Annette (Gerald) Saint John; Jeanne, St. Leonard; many nieces and nephews, mother-in-law, Noella; father-in-law, John Doucet; sister-in-law, Anne (Peter) McHugh. He was predeceased by his grandparents who had raised him, Elise and Ludger Guerrette, sister, Normande and Special sisters, Simone and Emily; special brother, Robert; sister-in-law, Alfreda. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John West, with visiting on Thursday, June 24 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, June 25, 10 AM from St. Rose of Lima Church, 541 Milford Road, Saint John West. Interment will take place at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances to the Extra Mural, Canadian Cancer Society or Hospice of Greater Saint John would be appreciated by the family.
