Obituary of Genevieve Alberta Wilson

Surrounded by her family, the passing of Genevieve Wilson, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Tuesday, October 5, 2010. She was born on March 27, 1919 at Summerfield, Carlton County to the late James and Edith (Smith) Brown. Genevieve was a loving wife and mother, devoted her life to her family. She was a life member of the Lorneville United Church and the UCW. Â Genevieve is survived by her children: Eleanor Monaghan (Raymond) of Grand Bay, Edith Reid of Saint John, Wanda Rodney of Richmond Hill, ON, Delores Driscoll (Russell) of Lorneville, Sterling Reid (Jean) of Whitby, ON and Douglas Reid (Avis) of Knoxford, NB; daughter in-law; Carol Reid and numerous grandchildren great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Genevieve was predeceased by her first husband, Harold Reid; second husband Theodore Wilson, and five sons, James, William, Donald and Chester Reid and Donald Wilson. Â She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Â Resting at Brenan's Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (634-7424) with visitation on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Funeral Service will be held from Brenan's Bay View Chapel on Friday, October 8, 2010 at 1 PM. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
