Obituary of Myrtle Eva Carrick

Surrounded by her loving family the death of "Tootie" Carrick, wife of the late Ronald Carrick, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Thursday, November 4, 2010. She was born on October 4, 1925 in Saint John to the late Jarvis and Eva (MacPherson) Peer. During World War II, Tootie worked as a seamstress. Following wartime, Tootie and Ronald started their family. She was Anglican by faith, a member of St. John's Church. Tootie loved to camp, she could be found in the summer at Pine Cone and Harding's Point Campgrounds. She was an avid card player. Â Tootie is survived by her loving daughter, Rhonda French (Nigel) of Grand Bay- Westfield; her adored grandchildren: Ronald, Candise and Jordan Carrick, Jaryn Lively (Victoria) and Bryttany French; several great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; best friends, Leslie and Muriel Short and the residents of the Kiwanis Lodge. Besides her husband and parents, Tootie was predeceased by her son, Michael and sisters: Florence, Dorothy and Ella. She was a last surviving member of her immediate family. Â Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan's Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (634-7425). The Funeral Service will be held from the Church of the Resurrection, Grand Bay-Westfield on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at 11 AM. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. For those who wish remembrances to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Canadian Breast Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
