Obituary of J. Anthony Landry

LANDRY-the death of J. Anthony "Tony"Landry occurred unexpectedly at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, November 13, 2010. Tony was born in Saint John, a son of the late Edward and Mary (Cyr) Landry. He had been employed with Irving Oil, the Princess of Acadia, and at Point Lepreau. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Josephine Dempsey in 1978; four brothers, Thomas, Timothy, and Alphonse Landry, and Gordon Gambin; and one sister, Florence Walker. He is survived by one brother, Frederick "Ned" Landry; his companion, Geraldine Bacon; and several nieces and nephews.Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Service will be held at the Fundamental Baptist Church, 1170 Sand Cove Rd., on Wednesday morning at ten o'clock. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
