Obituary of Mary Carolyn Stewart

It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Carolyn Stewart (Quigg) announces her passing which occurred on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Born in Saint John on May 16, 1941, she was the daughter of the late John and Eleanor Quigg (Ackerson).

Carolyn loved shopping, horses and Disney World, but most of all she adored her grandchildren who she loved to spoil. They will miss her dearly.

Carolyn leaves behind her two sons, James (Connie) Stewart and John (Alissa) Stewart; grandchildren, Maria Stewart, Adam Stewart and Rebecca Stewart. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband, Jim Stewart.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff from the 8^th floor at St. Joseph’s Hospital for their kind compassion, care and support during these difficult times.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). A visitation will take place on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Interment will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at 2:00 PM in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Donations in memory of Carolyn may be made to TrueNorthAid.ca.
