Dear Gail, Wendy, Kim, Tracy, Jason and extended family;
I wish to extend heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the family of my long-time friend, Tom Sully. We grew up in the North-end, began school together in 1951 at St. Peter's Boy's School and attended Hi-Y Club. We attended S.J. Vocational School, were in the same home-room and graduated together in 1962. Tom went to work for the City while I joined the RCAF. Upon my return home, June of '65 Tom was now a City Police Officer and I joined him there. We moved up through the ranks of Detective, Det. Sgt. and finally inspectors, retiring together in 1998. He was a great and dependable co-worker and a true loyal friend to me for 70 plus years.
Tom and Donna (Evans) married in 1973, raising you 3 wonderful children, who in turn gave them 3 grandchildren who they greatly enjoyed and treasured. Following Donna's passing Tom found it very lonely. He eventually connected with Gail Brown, a friend from their youth and she has been his tower of strength through the good times and bad ever since as he suffered greatly with health related challenges these past couple of years.
God Bless you Tom, we know you are in a better place. Thank you for all the great memories; for being a great and faithful friend. I will miss you and never have another friend like you. May God's Blessings rest on your family and Gail.

I remember Tom when he used to come to our house on Manawagonish Rd to help my father around the house. I believe it was before he was married so it was obviously a long time ago. I was teenager at the time. My fathers name was Harold Wright.He worked for the city at the garages on Rothesay Ave.
Tom was the kindest man I ever knew. He owed my father nothing but as he was disabled ( with Parkinsons) Tom offered to lend a hand whenever. Kind gentle and tall were my memory of him.
My family never forgot his acts of kindness and always counted him as a dear friend though I have not seen him in years.

Dear Gail and dear family of Tom Sully;
On behalf of the executive, and membership of Saint John Vocational School Alumni as well as the class of 1962 I wish to extend sincere sympathy and condolences in the loss of your father, grandfather, brother, cousin, uncle and special friend. I've known Tom since attending "Voc", we worked together on our "50th" class reunion committee and the last time I saw him was at a United Church supper in Hampton the fall of 2018 or '19.
When one leaves us, they leave behind a gift of memories. I will always treasure my memories of Tom. May you also treasure the many memories you have each shared with him over a life time and hold them close to your hearts. To the entire Sully family:
I am saddened today to learn of Tom's passing. Our friendship began in 1964 when I signed on with Tom at the Saint John City Police.
Whàt a ride with Tom and many others. It was a real Slice, as the saying goes.
I was fortunate to work with Tom in those early days where we formed a bond that lasted through the years.
Tom was a straight shooter, a thinkers, a mentor, sincere and dedicated to his service.
I am grateful for being accepted by Tom and grateful for having served along side him.
