Obituary of Murray Allan Gimby

In appreciation of his life, we announce the passing of Murray Allan Gimby on June 6, 2022, at Bobby’s Hospice.  Murray was born in Saint John, NB on July 24, 1944, to the late Jack and Laura Gimby. 

 

Murray was in the automotive field most of his working days and finished his career with an Irving Franchise before retirement.  South Oromocto Lake has been a very special place to him and his family.  Additionally, building a home in Wirral upon retirement was also very special to him.  He loved working with his antiques.

 

Murray is survived by his wife Lynda of 55 years; daughter, Stacey; son, Robert (Melissa) and two very special grandboys: Jack and Luke.  He’s been a great husband, father and grampie.

 

In addition to his parents, Murray is predeceased by his brother, Gordon; stepbrothers: Paul and Phil Gimby; sister-in-law, Susan Gimby; brother-in-law, Mike Law; mother and father-in-law: Ken and Grace McLeod; brother-in law, Royce McLeod.

Arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row in Saint John, NB.  A private graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022, in the Wirral Baptist Cemetery.  A Celebration of Life Reception will follow in the Wirral Hall, 6972 Route 101, Wirral, NB, at 1:00 pm, to which all are welcome.  For those who wish, donations in Murray’s memory to Bobby’s Hospice or the Wirral Baptist Cemetery would be appreciated by the family.  Online condolences can be placed at www.BrenansFH.com.
