Obituary of Joseph André O’Hearon

The unexpected death of Andy O’Hearon, husband of the late (Sally McGuire) occurred on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born on May 18, 1937 in Chatham to the late Raymond and Mary (Boyle) O’Hearon. Andy worked for Ocean Steel, as a yard foreman for over 33 years. He was a member of CUPE Local 809 Ironworkers Union, the Good Time Bowling League and past coach of the Ocean Steel Hockey Team. Andy was an avid sports fan and loved to play cribbage. He is survived by his companion, Deanna Warman of Saint John; three daughters: Susan Saulnier (Darren) and Cathy Jones (Elmer) both of the Kingston Peninsula and Anne Marie O’Hearon (Kirk) of Mayerthorpe, AB; two sons: Billy O’Hearon (Sandra) of the Kingston Peninsula and Tommy O’Brien (Karen) of Quispamsis; two sisters: Susan Miller and Betty Ferrar; brother, George O’Hearon (Linda); three step-children: Shelley Warman (David), Chris Warman (Shelley) and Mike Warman (Corrie); seven grandchildren: Ryan, Holly, Erin, Patrick, Mathew, Allison and Joe; two great grandchildren: Dylan and Brianna; six step grandchildren: Justin, Mikey, Julie, Shane, Brandon and Kyle and several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, Andy was predeceased by two brothers: Bill and Ray and two sisters: Connie and Kay. Andy will be missed by all his family and friends including his dog, Shelby. Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St Bridget’s Church, Chapel Grove on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at 11 AM. Interment will take place in St. Bridget’s Cemetery on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 11 AM. For those who wish, remembrances to Romero House and the Charge Syndrome Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
