Obituary of Dede Donovan

The death of Dede Donovan of Grand Bay-Westfield, wife of the late Harold J. Donovan, occurred on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at her residence. Born at Saint John, on July 4, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Stanley T. and Amy E. (Major) Davidson. Dede loved the outdoors and was a member of the Church of the Resurrection Church and Choir. Survived by her daughter, Crystal Donovan of Grand Bay-Westfield; grandchildren, Christopher and Brandon; brother, Jack Davidson (Joan) of Sussex, and his son Tim Davidson (Alison) of Rochester, New York, and Tim's children Matthew and Megan; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Dede was predeceased by her foster mother, Mary Jane Dobson and brothers, Ted Sabean and Eddie Dobson. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). Visiting will be held from the Church of the Resurrection, Grand Bay-Westfield on Friday, October 22, 2010 from 10 - 11 AM, with the Funeral Service starting at 11 AM. Interment to take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to a Living Memorial in Dede’s Memory would be appreciated by the family.
