Obituary of Douglas Wayne Joseph Enman

On July 21, 2022 with family by his side, Douglas Wayne Joseph Enman passed peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Doug was born on November 5, 1961, in Saint John NB to Marion (Dionne) Enman and the late Victor Enman.

We lost the nucleus of our family (one of the boys). Doug - son, brother, uncle, mentor, friend. Always call Doug, Ask Doug, Doug’ll know - a void that can’t be filled.

Doug was a true “West Sider” where he took care of mom. A faithful and active member of the Assumption Parish for 59 years. Doug went to St. Patrick’s school and graduated from Vocational School - a master crasftsman. Doug devoted a 41 year career to the Delta Hotel - his second family.

Doug will be dearly missed by his mom, his brothers, David (Sandra), Danny (Lynn), Dennis (Tina), Darrell (himself). Sisters, Marsha Speight (David deceased) Sussex, Michele (David) White, northenders. God children, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

Doug was predeceased by his dad, infant brother Victor Charles, paternal grandparents Walter and Mary Enman and maternal grandparents Adolphus and Margaret Dionne (nanny).

His family will be forever thankful for the exceptional care he received at the Sussex Health and the Saint John Regional Hospital.

Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John NB, E2M 2L3, 506 634 1701 visitation will be held Monday, July 25th from 6:00pm-8:00pm and Tuesday July 26th from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday July 27 from Our Lady of Assumption Parish Catholic Church at 12 noon. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
