Obituary of Wayne Lee Ekstrom

It is with great sadness the family of Wayne Lee Ekstrom announce his passing on Wednesday October 19, 2022, at the Saint John Regional Hospital after a period of failing health. Born in Saint John May 26, 1963, Wayne was the son of the late Donald and Carlotta Margaret (Porter) Ekstrom.

Wayne worked at Forest Hills Church for 25 years where he loved to be part of the community.

Wayne is survived by his sister; Tina Ekstrom, niece; Sammy Jo Ekstrom, nephew; Jeff Ekstrom (Emma), his son; Shawn Ekstrom; two great nephews; Jacob and Arlo Ekstrom, stepsister; Fay, stepmother; Anita Ekstrom, best friends; Lorne Ferguson, and Andy Stark.

Castle Funeral Home 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B have been entrusted with the arrangements. A celebration of life will be held at Greenwood Cemetery at 11:00 AM on Nov. 4, 2022.
