Obituary of Herb Tozer

With great sadness, the family of Herb Tozer announces his passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, January 21, 2023. Born July 8, 1942 in Lower Derby, NB, he was a son of the late Vincent and Rosella (Curtis) Tozer, and beloved husband of 44 years to Genevieve (Ramsay) Tozer, who predeceased Herb in November 2022.

Upon moving to Saint John, Herb went to work for payroll during the construction of the Point Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station. He also worked as the Supervisor of Transport for the Red Cross, and worked in Quality Monitoring for NCO until retirement. He was a long-time member and service to the Knights of Columbus.

Herb is survived by his children: Sterling Tozer (Vickie), Susan Lee (Bruce), Darrell Tozer (Kathy), and Jason Tozer (Angela); brother(s): Gerry Tozer (Rhonda) and Wayne Tozer (Anne); step-children: Katherine Jardine (Leonard), Kevin Jardine, Twila Jardine, and Rob Davidson (Alicia); grandchildren: Brett, Kayla, Brian, Tara, Maegan, Mason, Jackson, Ryan, Lauren, Logan, Linda, Adam, Will, Jessica, Stephen, Jason, Melanie, Sabrina, Jacob, Quinn, Brooke, and Tosha; great-grandchildren: Vanson, Cole, Jace, Angus, Lola, Pepper, Bannan, Henry, Gaby, Leah, and Easton; several nieces and nephews and friends.

Besides his parents and his cherished wife, Genevieve, Herb was predeceased by his brother, Fred Tozer (Patricia); and his stepson, Perry Jardine.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424). In keeping with Herb’s wishes, there will be no visiting or funeral service.
