Obituary of Raymond Kenneth Myers

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Ray Myers, beloved husband of Joan Myers, announce his passing which occurred on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born January 2, 1938, in Verdun, Quebec. He was a son of the late Alphonse and Helen (Northrup) Myers.

Ray worked in the beauty supply business up until his retirement. He was very active in the Catholic Church Community. When he was not volunteering at Romero House in Saint John, he spent his time at his property on the Washademoak Lake. Ray had a passion for sailing and for his family, family was very important to him, especially his wife of 65 years, Joan.

Ray will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Gary Myers (Lydia), Steve Myers (Debbie), Rick Myers (Tony), Darren Myers (Linda), Scott Myers (Sheila); precious grandchildren, Josh (Leslie), Shawn (Mary), Matthew and Sarah; special great-grandchildren, Hannah, Abigail and Jack; brother, Ron Myers; as well as brothers-in-law, Father Donald Breen, David Breen, Phil Robblee; sisters-in-law, Brenda Breen, Susan Breen; as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. Besides his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his sibling, Patrick Myers (Anne).

Ray’s family would like to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the incredible staff of the Palliative Care Unit at the Saint John Regional Hospital for the exceptional care they always provided.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). A Graveside Service will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at 11:00 AM. All Are Welcome.
