John,
I'm so happy I got to meet and spend the last few months around you since you came to Westport sitting at night with you when you weren't tired and you chatting up a storm to me. You had a great sense of humor! And I'm glad we had some good laughs
Your absence is heavy felt and I will miss you on my nightbshifts. Rest In Peace John.
Bless You and Your Family.

So many memories swirling around in my head right now. I remember how excited everyone was when Bertha and John finally got a boy!! My dad always called him Jackie so I think as a young tyke he was confused as to what his name was. lol As a little kid he would go into the cupboards and take all the pot covers out and get them spinning. At any given time he would have six or seven of them all going at once and wouldn’t let any of them stop. Kept him busy for hours.ha ha. ( the days when you could amuse yourself with what you had). To me Johnny was always a really nice kid who grew into a really nice man. He will be missed by so many. Rest easy (Jackie, John).

Robyn & Michelle - I am so deeply sorry for the loss of your Dad.
Robyn - I remember the smile on my Dad's face when you and I met as kids, and he found out who your father was! There's something special about how these generational friendships form on the West Side. My dad (Oupie) always had great things to say about John, and shared stories of them growing up and playing hockey together.
May the memories you've made provide some comfort during this difficult time.

My Sincere Condolences to Johnny’s family & friends.
I am his first cousin from Pei who can only imagine the fun times that were had with Johnny. His love for music, socializing and sports says it all.
His photo is a reminder of how much he resembles the Perry Boys.

My mom was with John for 23 years and while that was a long time ago, I wanted to extend my condolences to his side of the family and of course my two sisters. I grew up living with John and have some memories to share. My fav was him rocking the air guitar… one memory specifically involves Money For Nothing by Dire Straits. I have only been on a motorcycle with him. I was in awe at what a good ice skater and swimmer he was. He always hung out in the garage with Jimmy, Gary S, Gary K, Eric, or Timmy back in those days. Or Lori and them hung out in the kitchen talking and laughing over loud music. Late night snacks were a regular thing and if he went to Bob’s, he’d grab me some fries. His beef stew was a childhood staple. I hope he is resting well like he did on that old brown chair. Take it easy John and hope you’re listening to good tunes. Love Jo’s kid, Mary.
