Obituary of Constance Jean Brienza
With an appreciation of a life well lived, the family of Constance “Cony” Jean Brienza, wife of William “Bill” Brienza, announces her passing on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Shannex - Embassy Hall, Quispamsis, New Brunswick.
Cony Geisick was born in Torrington, Wyoming on February 7, 1950, she was a daughter of the late Ronald and Frances Geisick. Cony’s childhood was extraordinary, if a picture could be painted it would be similar to a Norman Rockwell painting. After High School, she attended the University of Wyoming on a music Scholarship. Cony played percussion in the University Orchestra and Marching Band. She drummed all her life and was fabulous at it, even though she never mastered reading music. Cony was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority, who provided her first full-time job after graduation. When Cony wasn’t on campus, she worked for US Senator Clifford Hansen of Wyoming in Washington, D.C.. Cony interned as a teacher helping many children in need.
She travelled throughout the United States visiting Kappa Delta Chapters and helped meet the standards the national sorority expected. Her job took her to North Texas State University, where she became the Panhellenic Director at the College in Denton, Texas. Within two years, Cony took a master’s degree in student service based on Psychological Counselling. Cony did a practicum during the last year of her Master’s study, where she created the Center for Older Texans at Richmond College in Dallas, Texas.
On October 8, 1974, Cony met Bill, and on May 9, 1976, they were married in the Chapel in the Woods at Texan Women’s University in Denton, while still studying for her master’s degree. Together they had a wonderful life and made many memories together.
Cony had a passion for her work, she would light up any conference room, speaking engagement, or any strategy or planning session she facilitated, below are Cony’s numerous employment milestones:

Cony had a full life, when she wasn’t working, or raising her family, she enjoyed many outdoor activities including tending to her gardens and downhill skiing when her knees were still in good shape. Travel was an important part of her life experience, and she enjoyed numerous trips across the globe to Belize, Ireland, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Iceland and Australia in recent years. She took comfort in her Drumming Circles, and Drumming Retreats in her later years, creating many new friendships and connections. She also enjoyed volunteering for groups and charities including years of volunteering for Christian’s swimming and diving teams. She was a former board member of the Boys and Girls Club of Saint John. Most of all she enjoyed being with her family, friends and walking the neighborhood with her beloved dog, Allie Grace.
Besides her loving husband, Cony is survived by her son, Christian Brienza of Grapevine, TX, sisters; Linda Mai (Frederic) of Gering, Nebraska, and Nancy Roth of Henderson, Nevada, as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.
In keeping with Cony’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cony’s wish is to have her ashes spread at Whitefish Mountain Resort on Big Mountain, outside of Whitefish, Montana where her family spent many years enjoying the town, snow, skiing and the fresh mountain air of the Northern Rocky Mountains.
