Obituary of Sharon Bastian
With heavy hearts, the family of Sharon Bastian announces her passing on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at her residence in Carleton Kirk Lodge. Born September 12, 1949, in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Francis “Frank” and Ruby Jean (MacEwen) Cameron.
Sharon loved playing bingo and turning $5 bills into more with her endless luck with the poker machines. She enjoyed watching CSI and Three’s Company, and wherever she was, you could be sure she heard what was going on around her.
Sharon is survived by her daughter, Lisa Lint; grandchildren: Felicia, George, and Michael; sisters: Shirley Doucet (Marcel), Frances Bailey (the late Richard), and Bonnie Snodgrass (David); her cherished roommate, Kathy Page; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Sharon was predeceased by her daughter, Marie Bastian; and brothers, Michael “Mickey” and Robert “Bobby”.
The family would like to give their sincere thanks to the staff and volunteers of Carleton Kirk Lodge for their care and friendship of Sharon in her final years.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424). Interment will take place in the Spring.
For those who wish, remembrances to the Carleton Kirk Lodge would be appreciated by the family.
Mother
To one who bears the sweetest name,
And adds luster to the same,
Who shares my joy…
Cheers me up when I’m sad,
The greatest friend I ever had.
Long life to her, for there is no other
Who takes the place of my dear mother.
