Obituary of Ryan Alan Samuel Thompson

It is with the deepest of sadness that the family of Ryan Thompson announce his untimely passing which occurred on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 in Saint John.  Born on July 25, 1995 in Saint John, he was a precious son of Paul and Suzanne (Bastock) Thompson.

After graduating from high school, Ryan attended the School of Recording Arts.  He was passionate about music and was a skilled guitarist.  Ryan always had a special place in his heart for all animals.  He will be greatly missed. 

In addition to his parents, Ryan is survived by his siblings, Emily Walker (Wesley) and Luke Thompson; special nieces, Misha Walker and Charleigh LaViolette; many extended family members and his feline companion, Lucy.  He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Gordon and Vera Thompson; his maternal grandparents, Alan and Margaret Bastock; as well as his favourite dog, Tequilla.

In keeping with the family’s wishes, there will be no visitation.  However, relatives and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Life, which will take place from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424) on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at 2:00 PM.  For those unable to attend, the service will be livestreamed and can be viewed by visiting Ryan's obituary on the Brenan's website.
