Obituary of Margaret Mary Thibodeau
It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Margaret Mary Thibodeau (Collette) on Tuesday March 11, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Margaret was born in Saint John, N.B. in 1945, she was the daughter of the late Phillipe and Lea Collette, and beloved wife of the late Guy Joseph Thibodeau (2002).
Marge is survived by her five daughters; Marlene Vautour, of Saint John, Carol (Raymond) Hamilton, of Saint John, Andrea Barrieau, of Saint John, Nancy Rowe, of Rothesay, Giselle Thibodeau (Bruce Lomax), of Saint John, six grandchildren; Colin (Cass) Vautour, Ottawa, Tyler (Cassaundra) Vautour, of Saint John, Angelica Frier (Andrew Clark), of Fredericton, Adam Joseph ( Kendra) Barrieau, of Saint John, Bradley Guy (MacKenzie) Barrieau, of Quispamsis, and Jordan (Kerry – Anne) Thibodeau, of Saint John, seven great grandchildren; Reese Frier, Chloe Frier, Anthony Clark, and Alexandra Clark, all of Fredericton, Blake Barrieau, Alyce Mae Barrieau, and Kayden Thibodeau, all of Saint John, and one brother; Robert (MaryAnne) Collette, of Saint John, cousin; Raymond Cormier, of Grand Bay, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Marge will be remembered and loved by her dear lifelong friends, Jeannette Hamm (cousin), Lovina Ayles and Lita St. Pierre.
Marge was a stay-at-home mother who loved to bake home made sweets and treats for her family and often the neighbours would stop in to visit to enjoy her baking. She passed her love of baking on to her children. She loved to crochet, was an avid reader, and loved music.
Marge had a part time job at Corporate Research Associates doing market research after her children had gone to high school. She made many friends there, and everyone loved her.
Margaret was predeceased by her Husband, Guy Joseph Thibodeau, one brother: Edward LeBlanc, her best friend, Diane Thibodeau.
Forever in hearts, she will be dearly missed by her loved ones.

Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. 506 634 1701. A visitation will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025, at Castle Funeral Home from 11:00am to 1:00pm. A funeral service will be held at Castle” Fallsview” Chapel on Monday at 1:00pm. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery following the service.
