Obituary of Susan Elaine Fanjoy

It is with profound sadness that the family of Susan Elaine Fanjoy announce her untimely passing on March 5, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital.  Born December 17, 1953, in Fredericton, NB, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Ada (Weir) Fanjoy. 

Susan will be greatly missed by her brothers, Roger (Brenda) Fanjoy of Grand Lake, NB, Richard (Glenna) Fanjoy of Hatfield Point, NB, Dennis (Marilyn) Fanjoy of Saint John, NB; sisters, Laura (Rick) Ayers of Oromocto, NB; as well as her chosen family Joe Bartlett and Stella Jensen. In addition to her parents, Susan was predeceased by her infant brother Samuel Fanjoy, and infant sister Elizabeth Fanjoy.

Susan was a beautiful force to be reckoned with, small, but so mighty.  She loved you for you, in your entirety, no questions asked, flaws and all.  Being a Sagittarius, Susan was always brutally honest, funny, curious, and very independent, but always standing firm in her opinion. Our lives will never be the same, with the emptiness your passing has left in our hearts. Rest in eternal peace, Sue.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424).  In keeping with Susan’s wishes, there will be no formal visitation or funeral service at this time.  Interment will be held at a later date in Grand Lake, NB.
