Obituary of Valerie Audrey Francis

Valerie Audrey Francis passed away peacefully on Monday, March 17, 2025 at Orchard View Care Home in Gagetown. Valerie was born on July 16, 1942 in Nova Scotia to the late Auriel and Audrey (Connor) Evans.

Valerie was a woman who found joy in the simple things in life. Valerie had a passion for gardening and loved spending time outdoors tending to her plants. She deeply cherished the moments she spent with her grandchildren, who were her world. She also found great joy and comfort in the time she spent with her church family.

Valerie will be dearly missed by her sons; Trevor (Teena) Francis and Kevin Francis, grandchildren; Matthew Francis (Natalie) and Justin Francis, great grandson Douglas Francis, sister in law Daphne Francis, nephews; David Evans (Elaine), and Kirby Francis, and niece Kelsey Harley.

In addition to her parents Valerie was predeceased by her brother Glendon Evans and niece Wendy Evans.

The family would like to thank the staff at Orchard View Long Term Care Home for the wonderful care Valerie received during her time there.

Arrangements are under the care of Castle Fallsview Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3. Keeping with Valerie’s wishes cremation has taken place and a Private Graveside Service will be held in Brown’s Flat Baptist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Valerie’s memory can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
