Obituary of Thomas Francis Curran
It is with heartfelt sorrow, the family of Thomas Francis Curran, husband of the late Joyce Curran (Piers), announces his passing on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Born in Minto, NB, on January 20, 1944, he was a son of the late Chester and Doreen (Gallagher) Curran. Tom was employed at the Saint John Dry Dock for 30 years as a boilermaker until his retirement. He was known for his sense of humor and his jokes. He was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church, and Hampton Seniors Resource Centre. He enjoyed his afternoon coffees at McDonald’s with his friends, where many laughs were shared.
Tom is survived by his son Andrew Curran (Shannon), and daughters; Karen Hutchison, and Monica Fowler (Mitch), his beloved grandchildren; Neve, Nealya, Owen, and Quinn, as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Besides his loving wife, Tom is predeceased by his brothers; William, Gerome, Paul, and Kevin, and infant sister Sharon.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (506-849-2119), with visiting on Friday, March 21, 2025, from 10-12 PM, funeral service will follow at 12 PM at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Norton, at a later date. Donations in memory of Tom can be made to the Saint John Regional Hospital – Palliative Care Unit.
