Obituary of Mary Jacqueline Arsenault

 It is with heart felt sorrow, the family of Mary Jacqueline “Jackie” Denise Arsenault, wife of the late Alfred J. Arsenault, announce her passing on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by her family.

Born on February 2, 1942, in Pokemouche, NB, she was a daughter of the late James and Eugenie (Landry) Duguay. Jackie was a homemaker, better known as a “Domestic Engineer” according to her children.   She was a loving mother who enjoyed spending as much time with her family as possible. Jackie was a chosen mom to many. She was a proud member of St. Mark’s Church from its beginning. Jackie was never afraid to try new things. Alongside Alfred she was a hunter, a fisherwoman, a builder of their home and a bowler.  She'd try any form of crafting and dabbled in photography.  She was also known as a wonderful cook, and baker. 

Jackie is survived by her children; Daniel, Evelyn (Bobby), David (Kelly), Denis (Patty), Elaine (Andrew) and Adrienne (Clayton), brothers; Emile Duguay (Lydia), and Donald (Elizabeth), Mémère to her grandchildren; Monique, Chris, Krista, Amanda, Portia, Kayla, Dustin, Hayley, Alicia, Keenan, Riley, Luke, Casey, and Max, many great grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Besides her husband and parents, Jackie is predeceased by her granddaughter Olivia.

Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB (506-849-2119) with visiting on Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 12 – 1 PM, with a Celebration of Jackie’s life to follow at 1PM. Interment to take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens at a later date.
