



Obituary of Joyce Hamm
G. Joyce Hamm (nee Leger) – of St. John, NB. Born in Moncton, NB, Joyce attended schools in St. Paul, NB and Charlestown, MA. She lived in the Boston, MA and NH areas for over 40 years.
Daughter of the late David and Gertrude (Whalen) Leger. Former wife of the late Honore A. Cormier, and widow of Ralph Hamm. Mother of Rachelle (Stephen) Doherty of Medford, MA, Jacqueline (Domenic) Fabrizio of Everett, MA, Arthur (Deborah) Cormier of Fremont, NH, and Alyson Cormier of West Newton, MA. Grandmother of Joseph Fabrizio, Anna (Cyril) Fabrizio and Rachael (Gil) Chamberlain. Great-grandmother of Julietta and Serephina Fabrizio, and expected any moment now, Gavin Chamberlain.
Sister of Rita, Armand (Beatrice), Jimmy, Alcide (Diane) Leger all of St. Paul, NB, Annette (Herbie) Peters of Canaan, NB, and Ernest Leger of Shediac Bridge, NB. Joyce will be dearly missed by many extended family members, dear friends, and the Hamm family.
Other than her parents, Joyce was predeceased by sisters Lilianne Jones, Evelyn Gallant, Jeannine Cormier, Pauline Leger, and a brother Paul-Emile Leger.
Mrs. Hamm’s family wishes to express a special note of gratitude to Mrs. Pam Peacock who was like another daughter to Mrs. Hamm over the years providing her friendship and support. In addition, the family would also like to express appreciation to the staff of the Loch Lomond Villa – Birch House for the years of care, guidance and support, and to St. John Regional Hospital – Palliative Unit physicians and medical staff for your care and compassion during these times.
Aside from the love for her family and dear friends, she enjoyed traveling, reading, cooking, bingo, painting and her computer.
There will be no visitations or services, per Joyce’s request. If you would like to make a memorial donation in Joyce’s name, you may send them to Loch Lomond Villa Foundation (185 Loch Lomond Road, Saint John, NB E2J 3S3) or to a charity of your choice.
