Obituary of Pamela Ray Friars
It is with heavy hearts the family of Pamela Ray Friars announce her passing, which occurred in Saint John, NB on April 1, 2025. Pam is the daughter of the late Kenneth Ray Friars and Mary Lee Friars (Watson).
Born in Saint John, NB on October 18, 1970, Pam was the youngest child of five. Growing up in the heart of Sussex, NB, Pam was a social butterfly who could strike up a conversation with everyone who passed by. A diva that couldn’t leave the house without her hair done and her best sunglasses, as well as a true animal lover; her rescue kitty, Karma, was her best friend.
There was always vanilla ice cream in the freezer, and she was always ready for a dance party to brighten anyone’s spirit on a bad day.
Known for her bubbly personality and contagious laugh, Pam will be missed dearly be all who knew her. Pam’s family ask that she be remembered for her free spirit and not the sadness of her passing.
Pam will live on in the hearts of her beloved son, Nicholas Friars (Tracy); granddaughters, Sofea and Novah of Moncton, NB; brothers, Bruce Friars (Anne) of Plumweseep, NB and Tom Friars (Tammy) of Sussex, NB; niece Carly Anne (Rick) of Plumweseep, NB; nephews, Tyler Friars of Quebec and Christian Norrad of Sussex, NB; great niece and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
Along with her loving parents, Pam is predeceased by her infant brother, Robert, and infant sister, Holly.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424). Friends and family are invited to gather to celebrate Pam’s life on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at 2 pm from Brenan’s Chapel.
