Obituary of Rose Marie Rogers
Rose Marie (Landry) Rogers born on May 19th, 1944, in Middle Sackville and then Saint John passed away peacefully Sunday, April 6th due to complications from Alzheimer's Mixed Vascular Dementia.
She is survived by her children - Leonard (Debbie) Palmer, David (Kathy) Palmer, Tony (Kandace) Palmer and Susan (Joseph) Trevors and her brothers Leonard (Denise) Landry, Wayne (Mary) James and Philip (Cicy) Gallant, sister Faith Grangello and grandchildren Meaghan (Jay) Short, Jessica (Jeremy) Palmer, Melkayla (Wyatt) Trevors, Maddason (Lucas) Trevors, Alana (Cameron) Trevors, Devin Wright and great granddaughter Kaitlyn Robichaud and several great nieces and nephews.
She is pre-deceased by her parents Emery and Beryl Landry and Marion and Fidele (Phil) Gallant and brothers Robert (Carole) Fitzgerald and Emery Joseph Jr. (Dale) Landry and sister Bernice (Bunny) and her husband Bev Stears.
Rose enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. They meant everything to her. A special thanks to Rhoda Williams, Rose Gaudet, Mary Ann and Stephen Power and Joann McVicor who were always there to support her and give freely of their time always.
Rose was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion #69 Branch. She enjoyed Bingo, bowling, dancing, cooking, baking and sewing.
She worked at the Old Provincial Hospital (Centracare), Ridgewood Hospital, St. Stephen Hospital and the Regional Hospital.
The family would like to thank everyone from the Church of St. John and St. Stephen Home who treated her like family during her stay.
A special thank you to Delbert Worden for coming in to sing one of her favorite songs. She was so excited and greatly appreciated that he took the time.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John, N.B. (506-634-1701). Visitation is being held Wednesday, April 9th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a funeral taking place following visitation in the Chapel. Internment will be held directly after at Cedar Hill Ext. Cemetery - 1650 Manawagonish Road.
Donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke, Cancer Society, Bobby's Hospice, the Bruce Melanson Memorial Fund or donor's choice would be appreciated.
