Obituary of Joann Marie Reynolds

With heavy hearts, the family of Joann Marie Reynolds announce her passing, which occurred on Monday, April 7, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born September 11, 1956, in Saint John, NB, she was a daughter of the late George and Maude (Wry) Edmanson.

Joann was a west-sider who found joy in feeding the animals in the neighbourhood. She enjoyed knitting for special occasions, such as a wedding or new baby, and loved baking cookies, gingerbread men, and pies. Christmas was her favourite holiday, and she was known for going all out with her decorations each year!

Joann is survived by her children, Michael Reynolds (Lindsay) and Amanda Reynolds and their father, Brian Reynolds; grandchildren, Seth and Kaiden; brother, Tim Edmanson (Cathy); niece, Jenna Rodgers (Matt); nephew, Jeff Edmanson (Mariah); great-niece, Alice Edmanson; and Pearl the cat.

Besides her parents, Joann was predeceased by her sister, Linda Adams; and special dog, Ted.

Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424), where visitation will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A Celebration of Joann’s life will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025, at 11 am from Brenan’s Chapel.
