Obituary of Nancy Mae Dixon

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Nancy Mae Dixon on April 12, 2025, at the age of 73. Nancy passed peacefully at Bobby’s Hospice, after succumbing to pancreatic cancer. She has been lovingly reunited with her late husband Donald Dixon, who also had pancreatic cancer 20 years prior.

Nancy, a loving Mother, and Grandmother was always willing to help the community. She was a member of the Catholic Women’s League, the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, Holy Trinity Parish Council, and the 30 Up Club. You could find her helping as a board member or President of any one of these organizations and enjoying all the sweets while working one of many Church suppers or receptions.

Nancy loved her 2 grandchildren, Maverick and Piper to no end. She enjoyed watching all their activities and they especially loved making pink applesauce in her ancient gadgets. When she wasn’t watching her grandchildren, you could find her spending time at TNT Trailer Park or kicking up her heels at line dancing every Wednesday.

Nancy is survived by her son Troy (Kim), grandchildren Maverick and Piper, brothers Billy and Bobby (Margie), several nieces and nephews and her partner of 15 years Ronald James.

She was predeceased by her husband of 30 years, Donnie Dixon and her parents Douglas and Thelma (Sammy) Quartermain.

Visitation will be held Tuesday April 15, 2025 at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424) from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Stella Maris Church, Wednesday April 16, 2025 at 12pm. Burial will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, with a short reception following at Stella Maris.
