Obituary of Lloyd Douglas Ring

The death of Lloyd Ring of Saint John occurred on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at the Loch Lomond Villa.  Born on March 21, 1934 in Saint John, he was a son of the late George and Mabel (MacMurray) Ring.

Prior to his retirement, Lloyd was employed as a cafeteria manager with NBCC.  He was a member of the Canadian Council of the Blind (the CCB Club), where many lifelong friendships were made.  Lloyd will be greatly missed.

Lloyd will be lovingly remembered by his brother, Eric Ring (Kathy); niece, Deborah Waters (Robert) and great-nephews, Robert Jr. (Tricia) and Jeffery (Stacey); nephew, Donald Ring Jr. (June); great-niece, Dawn (Leo) and great-nephew, Shane (Jen) and their mother, Tanya; as well as great-great-nephew, Travis and great-great-nieces, Brooklin, Pamela and Allison.  Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Donald (Irene) and Greg (Ruth) and sister, Shirley Whitlock (Roy).

A graveside service in Greenwood Cemetery will take place at a later date.  Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424).
