Obituary of Louis Harry McLellan

With heavy hearts, the family of Louis McLellan, loving husband of Mary (Taylor), announce his passing on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born July 30, 1955, in Saint John, he was a son of the late Louis R. and M. Alice (Neaves) McLellan.

Louis worked as a truck driver for Irving Tissue until his retirement. He played hockey in his younger years, and continued his athleticism throughout his life with baseball, and was a four-time NB darts champion. He was known for his colourful sense of humour and his antics, which kept everyone amused.

In addition to his beloved wife, Mary, Louis will be missed by his daughter, Janine Roy (Melanie); grandchildren: Mackenzie, Reilly, Chloe, and Bobby; sisters and brothers: Marney Foote (Paul), Gene McLellan, Kim McLellan (Dorothy), Lance McLellan (Sherrie), and Jimmy Cregan (Ann Marie); brother-in-law, Phil Taylor (Sherri); godson, Kevin Cregan; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424), where visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A funeral service celebrating Louis’ life will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at 11 am from Brenan’s Chapel.

For those who wish, remembrances to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
