Obituary of Charles Walter Nichols

It is with great sadness the family of Charles Walter Nichols announce his passing on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Rocmaura Nursing Home after a period of failing health. Born in Saint John, on January 29, 1934.

Charlie was a proud driver for Willett’s for most of his career and was an avid outdoorsman. He could be found working outside in the woods, at his garage or in his gardens daily.

Charles is survived by his son; Jeffrey Nichols, of Bayswater, one daughter; Lorna Marie Nichols, of Mill Cove, N.B., two grandsons; James and Owen Nichols, both of Saint John, one brother; Douglas (Eileen) Nichols, of Saint John, three sisters; Marjorie Wilson, of Sussex, N.B., Gloria Ross, and Sharon (Brian) Case, of Saint John, and many nieces and nephews.

Charles was predeceased by his parents; Purves and Gertrude (Arthurs) Nichols, and his beloved wife; Norma Lorraine (Wallace) Nichols.

The arrangements have been entrusted to Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. (506 634 1701). As per Charles’s wishes cremation has taken place. There will be no visiting or funeral service at this time. Online condolences can be made at www. Castlefh.ca
