Obituary of Sandra Doyle
It is with great sadness and profound love that the family of Sandra Doyle announces her passing on June 3, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, with her loving and attentive family be her side. Born in Saint John, N.B. on November 5, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Florence Leona McCarthy and she had a wonderful father figure, the late Robert Leo McCarthy who she loved dearly.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her grandmother Theresa Gallant who helped raise her, grandparents Florence and Jenny McCarthy, brother Charles (Chuddy) McCarthy, younger sister Colleen McCarthy, and son Patrick Doyle of Halifax, N.S. Survived by her sons Kevin Doyle (Dorina) and Michael Doyle of Halifax, N.S., daughters Colleen Leggett (John) and Gail Cashin (Sean), sister Maureen Ervin (Bob), brothers Bernard McCarthy (Carol), Bob McCarthy, and Ken McCarthy, grandchildren Brittany, Kady, Christopher, Jonathan, Megan, Lauren, and Jaide, 5 great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Sandra was a warrior in life and a warrior in death. She fought a lengthy illness with great courage and strength, always with family by her side. She was called Queen of Horizon Health of 5CN. A huge thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff on her floor for their care, kindness, and compassion expressed to our mom. Thank you also to Brenan’s for all the help they provided to our family.
