Obituary of Gail Lorraine Robinson

Gail Robinson (Simpson), a beacon of love and warmth, left this world on June 12, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and compassion. Born on December 10, 1947, in Saint John, Gail lived a life that was rich in love, laughter, and community spirit.

Her heart was always open, especially to her family. Gail's greatest joy was her role as a mother and grandmother, and she was the proud matriarch of a loving family. She is survived by her common law partner Harold Sparks, her cherished sisters, Lisa Simpson, Sonya Noye, and Carol Simpson, and her beloved children, Geelena Robinson, Arthur Delaney, Otis Delaney, Renae Simpson, and Treffery Simpson. Her beloved grandchildren were the light of her life, and she was deeply grateful for their happiness and success.

Gail was predeceased by her dear sister, Gertrude Simpson, her mother, Lena Simpson, her father, William Burrell, and her brother, Sherman Palmer. Their memories were held close to her heart throughout her life.

A religious woman, Gail's faith in Christianity was a guiding force in her life. She instilled in her children the importance of kindness, empathy, and a gentle heart and mind. Her belief in the strength of family and the power of faith was unwavering.

Gail's vivacious spirit and charitable nature were evident in her active involvement with friends and family throughout the community where she dedicated her time to making the world a better place through kindness and generosity. Her love for bingo was well-known, and she brought joy and laughter to every game she played.

The undeniable compassion and care of Jackie Cawley who selflessly and lovingly worked with Gail for many years will always be remembered and cherished. Thank you to the home workers, senior watch, and Bora Helen, and Solomon. Appreciation goes out to Kerry the physiotherapist from extra mural whom provided Gail with all her medical equipment. Last but not least we are grateful to the dialysis nurses & Doctor’s at SJRH 4CN who provided excellent care in her last days

Gail's legacy is one of love, kindness, and family. She taught those around her to cherish their loved ones and to always approach life with a gentle mind and heart. She will be dearly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.
