Obituary of Thelma McKim
E. Thelma (Sherwood) McKim of Saint John, N.B. passed away on June 21, 2025, in her 96th year after a long battle with Alzheimer’s with her son Estey as her sole caregiver. Born in 1929 in Barnesville, N.B. to the late Clarence P. and Hazel E. (Howe) Sherwood of 3rd Lake Upper Loch Lomond.
Thelma is survived by her sons Rev. Dr. Mark McKim of St. Mary’s, ON and Estey McKim of Saint John, N.B. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Gordon McKim and sister Marion Sherwood.
Thelma was a graduate of Modern Business College in Saint John and worked for F.J. Brennan Co of Saint John for many years before her marriage and raising her family and being bookkeeper for McKim Locksmithing in Saint John, N.B.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424). There will be no visitation. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
