Obituary of Louis Barry

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Louis Barry of Grand Bay-Westfield, at Bobby's Hospice on May 23, 2013. Born in Saint John on January 14, 1960, he was the son of Helen (Boyd) and the late Ronald Barry. Louis was actively employed at Saint John Transit for 10 years and prior to this held numerous positions in construction and transportation. He enjoyed working on his family's vehicles and keeping his property pristine; as well as spending time with his "grand-dogs", Sam and Stella. Louis will be remembered for his great sense of humour, story telling and his beautiful smile. Louis is survived by his loving wife, Joanne (Buchanan) of 30 years, daughters, Shannon (Scott) Wentworth, Jan (Michael Mazerolle) and Shelby; sisters, Suzanne MacFarlane and Jacqueline Butler, brothers, Boyd and Paul Barry. Louis is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was pre deceased by brother, Lynn Barry, niece, Jennifer MacFarlane and father-in-law, Otty Buchanan. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (634-7425) with visiting on Saturday, May 25, 2013 from 7-9 pm and Sunday, May 26, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Matthew’s Church, Grand Bay-Westfield on Monday, May 27, 2013 at 12:00 pm. Interment will take place in St. Augustine’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to Bobby’s Hospice.
