Obituary of Francena Margaret Hubbard

It is with deep sadness that John and Elizabeth (Bette) Parks announce the loss of a dear friend, Francena Margaret Hubbard, wife of the late Kenneth Hubbard, who passed away peacefully on Monday, November 18, 2013 at Bobby’s Hospice. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Allan and May (Christopher) Estabrooks. Francena was a graduate of Saint John High School and attended Mount Allison University. She was employed with the Bank of Montreal in Saint John and Moncton for 30 years, retiring in 1984, and was a member of the Pearl Rebekah Lodge and the Frank H. Tingley Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Francena was a member of St. James’ Anglican Church in Moncton. She resided in Moncton for many years and will be fondly remembered by her many friends there, especially Mick and Bina Stanley. Francena will always be lovingly remembered by close friends John and Bette Parks and their sons Kenney (Lynn), David (Erika), and Godson Stephen (Kim); Kevin and Patricia Gleesen and their sons Dennis (Faye), Patrick (Bev), Michael (Claudette), and Sean. Although there will be no visitation, Francena’s friends are invited to attend a celebration of her life, which will be held on Friday, November 22, 2013 at 10:00 AM from St. George’s-St. Jude’s Anglican Church, 100 Watson Street, Saint John West. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to Bobby’s Hospice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John West (634-7425). Online condolences and remembrances may be placed at www.BrenansFH.com.
