Obituary of Margaret "Rose" Forestell

Margaret Rose Forestell, passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer on February 18, 2014 in the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on May 21, 1935 in Saint John, she was a daughter of the late John and Ellen (Keleher) Hooley. Rose was an active member of St. Rose of Lima Church. She was an avid bowler and volunteered for Meal on Wheels. Rose worked many years as a x-ray technician and before devoting her time to her beloved husband and children. Surviving are her sons, Stephen (Cheryl), Ottawa; Terry (Denise), Montreal; Thomas (Stephanie), Montreal; Paul (Silke) Fredericton and Mark (Robin) Glenwood; grandchildren, William, David, Shannon, Gabrielle, Sarah, Matthew, Isabella, Serena, Cole and Alice; sisters, Rita Hooley and Doreen Ferris; numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Rose was predeceased by her husband, David; brothers, Joseph Hooley; Francis Hooley; sisters, Gertrude Phinney and Madeline Hooley. Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, West Saint John with visiting on Friday, February 21, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Rose of Lima Church, 541 Milford Road, Saint John, New Brunswick on Saturday, February 22, 2014, at 10:00 AM. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to IWK Health Centre would be appreciated by the family.
