Obituary of Michael Seymour Tokach
Michael Seymour Tokach passed unexpectedly on May 1, 2014 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on March 22, 1953 in Saint John he was a son of the late William and Marion (Seymour) Tokach.
Michael was an avid golfer and was a member of the Sussex Golf and Curling Club. He was a die-hard Toronto Maple Leaf fan which he passed on to his girls. For many seasons he and his wife camped at the Pine Cone Camp Ground, Sussex. Faye and Michael spent many winters in Florida with their close friends. Michael worked for NB Power Coleson Cove for thirty years and was a union member of the IBEW Local 37.
Surviving are his wife, Faye; the loves of his life, twin daughters, Carrie and Colleen, both of Saint John; brother, William J. Tokach, Grand Bay - Westfield; niece and nephews, Jill (Travis) Hossack, Quispamsis; Sean Tokach, Calgary and Chris (Sarah) Tokach, Quispamsis; mother-in-law, Ethnee Booker; several nephews, nieces, cousins and his constant companion, Ashley.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his father-in-law Charles Booker and aunt, Florence Williams.
Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John, with visiting on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 6 and 7, 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral liturgy will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at 12 noon from Brenan’s Bay View Chapel. Interment will follow in Woodman's Point Cemetery. Remembrances to the Canadian Diabetes Association New Brunswick Division or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
