Our sincere sympathies to all Ken's extended family. When we moved to Saint John to set up practice in 1973 Ken was part of the establishment and a great role model for internists. He was a most cheerful and pleasant gentleman who will be long remembered by his patients, friends and colleagues.

Paul, Linda, Doug and families, my deepest condolences over the loss of your father. Your Dad was always a perfect gentleman, a kind soft spoken man who when he spoke, people listened. Paul, I remember fondly the many many mornings when I would trapse through the little woods to meet you so we could walk to school together, those mornings I was always greeted by both your mom and dad and although young, they always had time to engage in conversation. You have all done your parents proud with your lives, your families and your overall being. These times are difficult, however the great memories, the fun, the life experiences gained from parents is never forgotten or lost. My thoughts are with you and yours, now and in the future. Best Regards Mark

Thomas MacLean posted a condolence
Dear Paul, Linda and Dougie, I was in SJ on Friday and Saturday for a high school girls field hockey tournie at KV and picked up a local paper and read of Kens passing. How early memories flooded back to me from learning about Tonka trucks from you to watching Linda color outside the lines in a colouring book with Ann saying "well she's only a baby", all hapening outside your back door. How cool we all thought your house was, it had an inter-com. It was like majic! I remember Helen carrying Dougie in diapers, all thoughts of the past are very charmed and happy memories of our youth and living on Anderson Driver with your house just behind us through the patch of woods; brother Ian weaving his way through the trees on skis to jump over that small stone wall in your back yard. I remember your father Ken very well. I remember his as a good natured parent, I liken him to my own father Jimmy more than any other father I met in the "doctors circle". Quiet, unassuming, extremely intelligent with a wonderful sense of humour when humour was offered. I got this impression when our dads were talking a few feet into the woods when dad was wheel barrowing lawn clippings into a boarded mulch pit. They laughed and joked although I didn't have a clue what they were talking about. I saw him with his fiddle once but he wasn't playing it, how I now wish he had. Soon after this we moved and it was like someone pulled the rug out from under me. My greatest compliment I can pay your father is he would have been described as "one very clever boy" by other doctors, which is a greater compliment than we might comprehend coming from his peers. Highly educated, helping to raise 4 wonderful sons and daughters. Even though we had seen each other more recently my memories of your dad and mom and the rest of the Rogers clan would not let go of me and brought me a feeling of sadness and a smile. The passing of my own mom and dad has it's own sadness for they passed before they could meet my daughter Mary Katelyn. As was told to me after my dad passed "it's now your turn on the wheel". I'm sorry for your dads passing, I hope you'll all find comfort in each other and the wonderful memories and those to come that your mom and dad would be proud of. He was a wonderful man. Sincerely, Tommy MacLean and family
