Obituary of Bryan James DeLucry
It is with great sadness that the family of Bryan James DeLucry announces his unexpected passing at home, on October 5, 2014. He was the son of James and Corinne (MacDonald) DeLucry. Born in Saint John, Bryan was a Graduate of Saint John Vocational School from the Welding Department. Bryan continued on in his trade and became a Proud Member of UA Local 213, Plumbers, Pipefitters and Welders. Bryan enjoyed his work and the Brotherhood of the Union. Working hard to help others was one thing he never stopped doing.
Bryan enjoyed playing sports growing up, especially Baseball and Hockey, which lead to his coaching in Lancaster Minor Hockey, where he was well known to the players as Coach Bryan.
Bryan’s greatest passion in life was spending time with his wife Kelly and son Matthew. These were times he truly treasured.
Bryan was predeceased by his father James DeLucry. Survived by his Wife Kelly (Montford), son Matthew, mother Corinne, brother Derek (Heidi), nieces Kailey and Hannah, nephews Devin and Sam. father-in-law & mother-in-law Doug and Ruth Whelpley, brother-in-law & sister-in-law Tony and Kandace Palmer.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenan’s Bayview Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John, from where visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8 from 7 to 9 pm and Thursday, October 9, 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held at St. Rose of Lima Church, 541 Milford Road, Friday October 10th at 12 noon. Interment will take place immediately following the service in the Holy Cross Cemetery. A reception to follow at the Royal Canadian Legion, Br. 69, 714 Wilson Street.
In Lieu of flowers, donations in Bryan’s memory can be made to Bobby’s Hospice, MS Society, SJ Animal Rescue, Joshua Group or charity of Donor’s choice.
