So sorry, for your loss Suzanne, Carl and Ethan. Gary was very proud of his Grandson, Ethan and his family. He would talk to me about Ethan's travels with choir and his new job. Gary was a special person, whom made my a huge impact on me. He was very determined with his rehabilitation at LLVillage, even when he wasn't feeling well. He brightened my days that's for sure. He had an awesome sense of humor, and had me in stitches most of times. He always seemed to know if something was bothering me, and would get me to open up and tell him, and then give me advice. That meant a lot to me. He would "vent" every now and then, and knew I would also listen to him and help him in whatever way I could. Every Friday afternoon, he would always tell me to be careful, on the weekend, out on my 4 wheeler or motorbike. He didn't want me to hurt myself again. When I was out hurt, last year, he would call me at home to see how I was doing. I think, he checked up on me to make sure I was doing what the doctor told me to do. He knew I could be on the stubborn side, lol. That meant a lot to me. I will miss him. It won't be the same without him, that's for sure. He was my friend, whom I cared for a great deal. I will never forget him. Rest in Peace, Gary. God Bless you, Suzanne and your family. Take care. Connie Wilkinson, Rehab LPN, LLVillage

Dear Suzanne, Your Dad and I went way back to childhood, at least mine. We were close country neighbors and spent many summers together as youths despite the age difference. We shared many special times together and thankfully we got to reminisce at some length this summer. I'm so very glad that I had that opportunity and took advantage of it. I was planning on paying him one more visit before leaving for Florida for the next six months. That wasn't to be. I would like to extend to you and your family my most sincere sympathy in your loss. Gary was an old friend and a good friend. In lieu of no visitation, perhaps I'll get to express my condolences in person next summer on "the point".
