Obituary of Arthur Ricky Rice

It is with heavy hearts the family of Arthur Ricky Rice announces his passing which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, April 13, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on September 30, 1948 in Wirral, New Brunswick, the son of John and Doris (Wooden) Rice. Art is survived by his wife, Brenda and their son Scott Estey (Jennifer) and the joys of his life – his grandchildren, Courtney (Justin Oram), Brooklyn, Addison and Carter. In addition to his mother, Art is also survived by sisters, Pauline (Reginald) Benjamin of Wirral; Sylvia (Donald) Henderson of Oromocto; Yvonne (Buster) Rogers of Hampton and brothers, Charles (Nancy) of Alberta; Richard of British Columbia, Carl (Donna) of Wirral, Brian (Rhea) of Wirral, David (Debbie) of Fredericton, Bruce (Tabatha) of Wirral, Christopher of British Columbia and Terry (Gail) of Quispamsis along with many nieces and nephews. Art loved his family dearly and nothing made him happier than spending time with them especially the Friday night sleepovers with the grandchildren. Art was predeceased by his Father and brother Howard. Visitation will be held at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (634-7425) on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A funeral service will be held at Brenan’s Bay View Chapel on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 11 am. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Oncology Unit or Palliative Care at the Saint John Regional Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
