Obituary of George Edgar Cobb

The death of George Edgar Cobb, age 90, of Brookview Crescent, Saint John, husband of Ruby (Learning) Cobb, occurred on Monday, November 11, 2002 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Barr'd Island NF he was the son of the late Joseph and Julia (Downer) Cobb. George was employed with the Dept. of National Revenue in Public Service for over 40 years. He was a member of the St. George's Masonic Lodge, St. John's NF. Besides his wife he is survived by four sons George of Moncton, William (Ellie) of Langley, BC, Wallace of St. John's, NF, Lewis of Fredericton, three grandchildren, three great grandchildren, several cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he is predeceased by one daughter Margaret, several brothers and sisters. By request there will be no visiting. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 15, 2002 from Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home Chapel 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424) at 2:00 PM.
