Obituary of Azade Joseph Frigault
The death of Mr. Azade (Al) Joseph Frigault of Ridgewood Veterans Hospital, Saint John, NB, husband of the late Alida M.( Poirier) Frigault, occurred on Thursday, December 12, 2002, at his residence. Born on Miscou Island, NB, he was the son of the late Philorome and Kathleen (Lanteigne) Frigault. Mr. Frigault served in World War II with the Carleton York Regiment. He was wounded badly in Italy, 1944, resulting in his loss of sight. Azade was a member of St. Pius X Church Parish, Branch 69 Legion, St. Dunstan's Association and Sir Arthur Pearson Association For The War Blinded and the C.N.I.B. Azade loved to take long walks and swim, he was an active member of the Aquatic Centre. He also bowled with the C.N.I.B. team, and was an avid card player. Azade was a compassionate and generous family man, enjoying his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, he will be sadly missed. Mr. Frigault is survived by three sons, Joseph Frigault (Stena), Alberta, Richard Frigault (Faye), Quispamsis, Leo Paul Frigault (Linda), BC, one daughter Diana McQueen, husband William McQueen. Three brothers John, Leo, Adelard, seven grandchildren Victoria, Mark, Charles, Heather-Lynne, Christopher, Ryan and Joseph, two great grandchildren Cameron and Cayden Smith, New Orleans, USA, several nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424), with visiting on Saturday 7-9 PM, Sunday 2-4, 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 16, 2002, at St. Pius X Church, at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the building fund St. Pius X Parish Church, in lieu of flowers would be appreciated by the family. www.brenansfh.com
