Obituary of Jean H. VanBeelen

The death of Jean H. VanBeelen, wife of the late Cornelis VanBeelen Sr., occurred on October 24, 2002, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John she was the daughter of the late Frederick S. Marney and the late Edith P.(Thompson) (Marney) Mitchell. She was employed with Lantic Sugar Ltd., Canada Post Corporation and Sears Canada Ltd. before her retirement. She is survived by her sons Cornelis Jr. and his wife Marilyn, Frederick J. and his wife Lana, Wayne E. and his wife Barbara, all of Saint John, her brother Lloyd Marney and his wife Ann of Saint John, her sister Joan Harris of Toronto, ON, her eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers William and Ralph Marney. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424) with visiting on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Monday, October 28, 2002, at 9:30 AM, from Brenan's Chapel. Interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Remembrances to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Gideon Bible Plan would be appreciated by the family.
