Obituary of Richard Bruce Marrs

The death of Richard “Dick” Marrs, husband of Daphne (Mountain) Marrs, occurred on Friday, January 30, 2004 at his residence in Baxters Corner, NB. Born in Peterborough, ON son of the late Frank and Ella (Morrison) Marrs he was an Insurance Broker retiring in June, 2003; Dick was an antique car enthusiast and a member of the Air Force Club. Survived by two sons, Bruce (Trena) Marrs of Cold Lake, Alberta and Michael (Delcia) Marrs of Victoria, BC; one daughter, Darlene Marrs of Scotland; two sisters, Susan (Dennis) Zale of Thunder Bay, ON and Gwen (Bill) White of Peterborough, ON; three grandchildren, Rebecca, Telyn and Dryden; several nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Sunday, February 1, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm with Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph's Church, 4347 Loch Lomond Road on Monday, February 2, 2004 at 11:00 am. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Saint John, the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
