Obituary of Florence Evelyn Maber

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Florence Evelyn Maber of Rothesay, NB, wife of the late Donald J. Maber. Her death occurred on Monday, April 4, 2005 at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Chambers Settlement, Kings Co., NB on February 14, 1932 she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Mildred (Parlee) Brighton. Florence was a Real Estate Agent for several years with Central Trust. She was a member of the KV Quilting Guild, Quispamsis and Champlain Heights Bowling Leagues, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Canada and was a member and treasurer of the Gyrettes. She was a devoted Nana to her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her three sons, Kevin (Debbie) and Tony, both of Rothesay and Larry (Tara) of Quispamsis, two daughters, Marilyn Keating (Brian) of Sussex and Lori MacLeod (Brian) of Mooresville, NC, two sisters, Marjorie Curwin (James) of Moncton and Dorothy Wallace of Penobsquis, and her ten grandchildren Jeffrey, Thomas, Matthew and Daniel Keating, Keith and Kyle Maber, Colin Maber, Kelsey Maber and Amy and Claire MacLeod, her good friend, Marion MacMaster, several cousins, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one son, Joel Steven Maber, two brothers, Vincent and Walter Brighton, sister-in-law Fern Maber and brother-in-law, John Wallace. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, April 7, 2005 at 1:00 PM. Interment in Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
